Quick Turnaround, Getting Our Customers Back to Work
The new facility includes a 14,100 square-foot repair floor with new technologically advanced tools for repairing stainless steel, bronze, Nibral, Z Drive and controlled pitch propellers. Two ten-ton cranes with wireless controls can be synchronized to provide a combined total lift capacity of 40,000 pounds, and an eave height of 27 feet and hook height of 18 feet on overhead cranes allows access to larger wheels. Other amenities include fume extractors in welding bays, five-ton jib cranes, and 16-foot fans for improved air flow. The Amelia and Houma facilities each have a 400-ton hydraulic press. Johnny’s also owns its own fleet of truck for pick-up and delivery to customers, ensuring the quickest turnaround possible.
“With expanded work space and warehouse inventory, this new facility gives us an even greater advantage over competitors in repairing propellers and getting them back in operation as quickly as possible,” says Ken Conrad, Vice President of Operations.
